Originally from San Antonio, Andy Mahavier graduated from La Vernia High School in 1994. After graduation, he began working as a model for John Casablanca Modeling Studio and Hollywood Portraits. Andy went to Aspen, Colorado, for a photo shoot. Upon returning to San Antonio, he had to do drag for the first time because of a lost bet. He chose the name Aspen Tyler from his recent trip and a boy he was in love with in high school.

Aspen made her debut to the world on April 2 in Pauletta Leigh's talent night at The Saint. From there she went to Newcomer of the Year and placed 6th. Eight months later, Aspen won Miss River City USofA, and placed 6th out 36 at Miss Texas USofA. Aspen moved to Dallas in October 1995. She returned to The Saint for Newcomer and was 2nd Runner Up. In 1997, Aspen won Miss Missed America and from there was crowned Miss Charity America. Also in 1997, she won Miss Austin America and was 4th Runner Up at Miss Texas America. She also won Miss Highland Park USofA, again placing 6th at Miss Texas USofA. Aspen was Miss Dallas America 2000. She won Most Beautiful in Miss Highland Park and Miss San Antonio, and was Voted Most Photogenic at Miss Gay America 2005. Aspen won Miss Round Up America 2004, Miss Metroplex in 2005, and Miss Illusions in 2007.

Aspen just became the first ever Miss Gay Lake O' The Pines USofA.

Aspen was a Rose Room regular for 3 years, and was also part of Edna's Angels. She and Onyx co-hosted The Ebony and Ivory Show, a talent contest, at the Round Up Saloon. Aspen also worked with Charity Case for five years at Moby Dicks. Aspen currently stars in the Wanda show at Woodys at least every other Wednesday. Aspen is usually booked once a month is Waco at Trix Club, and in Little Rock at Discovery. Please check the calendar on this site for booking information.

Aspen is the daughter of the beautiful Victoria West who she considers her inspiration and mentor. She also recognizes Maya Douglas, Celeste Martinez, Monica Monroe, China Blue, Layla LaRue, and Onyx as goddesses to the art form.

The final person Aspen wants to thank is Bill Whitis/Patricia Ryan. Bill is Aspen's best friend. Bill has always been there and loves Aspen unconditionally. Bill purchased this website as a surprise for Aspen's birthday. Aspen credits Bill for making him a better person and keeping him sane, and sends unconditional love and MUCH respect back to Bill.

Away from the world of drag, Aspen likes swimming, watching movies, drinking, spending time with friends. Aspen is a roller coaster enthusiast, and likes to go to amusement parks.
